*sigh* Okay, that was my obligatory sigh of desperation. I am absolutely fed up with migraines and medicines that don't work. They are so pestilent. But that is already enough complaining for one post.
On a much more positive note, I'm now a (legal and legit) driver, an organ donor, and a registered voter. Also, my cap and gown came in for graduation. And all of this happened in one short day. I told my friends that all of my "grown up stuff" decided to happen all at once, which was fine with me. However, I'm almost certain my mom almost cried when I tried on my cap and gown. Neither she nor my dad are ready to accept that I'm about to be moving out.
On another note, I know what kind of job I want for my summer job, besides being an intern for Grace Family Church (which is the greatest church EVER! Can I get an "amen"? Haha). I want to work for a daycare. Any daycare will do. So, if anyone knows of one that is hiring in the area, or will be hiring after May 14, let me know!
Oh, also, I have switched from the music listed in my previous post (sorry that was so long ago) to things like Stevie Ray Vaughan (henceforth referred to as SRV), Peter Frampton, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, and the like. These guys are amazing. I'm not even kidding. I LOVE this music. And it's clean stuff too, for the most part. Especially SRV. He's awesome. As a matter of fact, he shall be my culture post.
On a final note, I am no longer dating Zack. I broke up with him about a month ago. *pause for the collective "Oh my word! How could you do that to such a sweet boy?!"* Yes, I know. I broke his heart, I'm a cold-hearted snake, I'm a horrible person, I hurt a very sweet boy. I know all of this, but I know that I did what was best for both of us, really, in the long run. It wouldn't have worked in the end, as our lives didn't mesh, and I fell out of love. Now I know some of you will say "Oh, that's not possible. You can't just 'fall out of love'. It takes time, if it's even possible." Well let me tell you a thing or two. It CAN happen, and it DOES take time. It's not as if I woke up one morning and said to myself, "You know what? I don't love him anymore." It didn't happen that way. It was a slow, gradual process that I refused to see for a very long time. However, once I finally saw that I had been leading him on, I knew in my heart that I had to end it, for both of our sakes. I deserve to be happy, and he deserves a girl who will love him forever. You may disagree with my decision, and you can tell me that you do, but please choose your words carefully. I may be a "cold-hearted snake", but even snakes have feelings. I've been hurt enough by people calling me names and generally saying I'm a bad person (and a few other choice words), I don't need anymore. I've already got the general idea that no one really agrees with me for some reason. I know I'm doing the right thing though, so have at it.
Now, for the culture post... The only hard part shall be choosing from SRV's many amazing songs.... Hmm. I think Pride and Joy would be a good start.

This is SRV, live at Montreaux Music Festival back in 1985. Good stuff right here. Enjoy!

Multitasking:slang for "suicide by overwork".
So, even with a title like that, I'm still trying to multitask... I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm memorizing for church, doing math homework, posting this, texting, listening to Five Finger Death Punch (more on that later), and I'm on Facebook. And I still have to shower and clean my room AND the bathroom before 10. Let's see how well I can do! This is like a game for me... A sick, twisted game that is probably the cause of all my stress. Speaking of stress, apparently, I'm a bit too stressed, as I have been eating very little these past few weeks. I actually get nauseated at the site of food, causing me to lose roughly 10 pounds and my family and friends to worry. However, as I have not passed out, I think I'm fine. I'm still a healthy weight, I promise.
Okay, so about the Five Finger Death Punch thing... I know, I know, they aren't exactly a "wholesome" band... But neither is Rob Zombie, or Iron Maiden, or Shinedown, or anything else I've been listening to. But, no worries, I'm not converting to Satanism or anything. I just have a very wide ranging taste in music. Although I do feel a little strange looking at my iTunes and seeing death metal right by Disney and gospel... Oh well! I'm still a good girl, though, so don't worry about me. I promise.
But anyway, for now I must bid you adieu so that I can finish my homework, memorization, and cleaning. Love you all!
P.S. Sorry for not having culture posts these past few posts... :(

Aida...
So, tonight I get to see Aida, the spring production that Cabot is doing. Ordinarily, I wouldn't go to a school play. However, my mom gave me money for a ticket and I have a very close friend who is in the musical, so I shall be watching it tonight. I'm very excited! Also today, I passed the "written" (it's actually computerized now...) part of the driving test. I know, I know, I'm doing this really late in life, but I've always had a HUGE fear of cars, so it's quite a big deal that I'm overcoming that. Also also today (if you don't get it, don't ask, haha), I have been uploading CDs onto my new laptop. I think I have about 20 CDs to upload, most of which I've been having to input the title, artist, and album manually. I've only had one so far with which I haven't had to... Oh well, anything for good music! Anyway, I haven't been posting a lot here lately, and I feel a little bad, but it's because I had a different kind of writing streak going on. I've been working on a book for a looooong time now, and making very little progress, but last night, I sat down and wrote 3 full pages. Which may not seem like much, but for me, that's a really huge improvement. I think I've been doing really well. I've also made a lot of progress in my knitting. Wow, I'm turning into such a strange person. Fortunately, I don't mind a bit. I actually like myself more now than I have in years, probably in my whole life. So, anyway, I don't have too much longer before I have to be ready to go, so I have to cut this post off (again, sorry!).

Rawr means "I love you" in dinosaur... :)
So, this has been a fairly average past few days. And by average, I mean not spectacular. As in, migraines, head colds, and various other ailments... in one day. Not that this is going to be a whiny post, I'm just filling you all in on why my shoulders are pretty much rubbing my ears. Anybody else ever do that? Get so stressed from life in general that, before you know what's going on, you can barely move your neck and shoulders from all the tension? I think that I need to take up yoga or something. Who knows? Maybe I should knit more... I feel so legit with my knitting right now. I actually have a callous developing on my left hand from the way I hold my needle. It's pretty awesome. Also, I am feeling very proud of myself, because, as an EXTREMELY technologically illiterate person, I managed to set up, hook up, and not break a printer. That is a huge deal for me. I mean, it's a little sad that it's such a big deal, but it is, and I'm pumped.
Okay, so I'm cutting this post rather short, as I would like to be able to wake up tomorrow morning... But I shall be posting again soon. Hopefully more frequently than I have been these past few days.
As for the culture post, I'm going to suggest that you visit this link: http://www.youtube.com/user/crazy4jesus22#p/f/35/GOcVkofa1AUhttp://www.youtube.com/user/crazy4jesus22#p/f/35/GOcVkofa1AU

Zack's cake...
Okay, so for Zack's going away party, he asked for a patriotic, American flag type cake... So, with a TON of help from Emily and Stephanie, I made this...

Yeah... Seriously, without Steph and Em, this cake would have been nonexistant. I'm not even kidding...

Anyway, I'm making this a fairly short post... However, for the culture post, I figured I'd share a video of the new skill I am hoping to acquire with some help from my awesome friend Garry! So y'all check this cool stuff out! (And, no, you don't have to watch the whole thing...)
And for all of you worriers out there, no, I'm not going to get hurt. Promise... for now.

I vant to suck your blood...
So, today was the blood drive at school, so I decided to donate my blood for the first time. I'm actually really proud of myself. They took a whole pint! And I didn't faint, or even get pale! That is really saying something, considering how little I ate today. The only downside to giving blood was that they took it from my right arm, and I'm right-handed. This is causing a few problems, like not being able to use my right arm without it hurting pretty badly... Oh well. It's a small price to pay to know that I made a difference.
Anyways, Zack was supposed to fly out this morning for basic, but due to snow (how crazy is that?), he's not leaving until tomorrow morning. I'm really proud of the kid, but man, I'm going to miss him. He'll be gone for 8 1/2 weeks, but I'm so proud that he's being given the chance to live out his lifelong dream. If any of you think about it, keep him in your prayers over these next few weeks. It's going to be crazy hard on him, but he can do it. He's a really good kid, and I love him and believe in him with all my heart. I couldn't have asked for a better guy!
For the "culture post", I decided it was about time to introduce you all to one of my favorite websites....
MyLifeIsAverage, or MLIA, as it is fondly known, is a constant source of happiness for people everywhere. It's awesome. Check it out.

Ojalá que llueva café...
Yup, that's Spanish. And it's a totally AWESOME song. It was was written by Juan Luis Guerra of the Dominican Republic (which is like the second poorest country in the Americas). It's title literally says "I wish that it would rain coffee", which sounds a little strange at first, but the song is actually talking about how he wishes the earth would produce more crops so that his nation could become richer and his people wouldn't have to suffer. We learned this song in Spanish the other day, and it really got me thinking. Why doesn't everyone feel this way, or pray this way? That would solve so many of the world's problems. I mean, I haven't been the most charitable person thus far in life, and why not? Who knows? Really, we all the ability to give something. Seriously, even if you only donate stuff like plasma (which you get paid for), or clothes to Goodwill (which you get a tax write-off for, I believe), you're still doing something amazing. Therefore, I'm going to start trying to really help the world in any way I can. I hope buying/asking for TOMS counts (TOMS is a shoe company that donates a pair of shoes to children in need for every pair you buy. If you want to check out their store, it's at www.tomsshoes.com). But I'll stop preaching at y'all... for now. Bahaha *grins evilly*.
So, I haven't been posting because we are FINALLY moved into our new house (for the most part) and I haven't had internet for a while now. I know, I know, you are all gasping for air at the thought of me without internet. But I survived. I tried posting from my phone, but it wouldn't let me.
Oh, culture post, before I forget. This culture post isn't really much culture as it is charity (don't worry, no money involved).

Basically, you answer (easy) questions, and they donate rice. It's really simple, and you can change the subjects the questions are based on. It's totally awesome.
